Have you been looking for just the right shopping cart for your web site?
There are many choices in the Shopping Cart Market and we realize that
most banks offering credit card merchant services has a free one. Why, then,
should you pick VP-ASP Shopping Cart software with enhancements by
eStoreCart.com? What makes this combination stand out from the crowd?
VP-ASP is without peer in features. It is international and can be used in
any language and currency. VP-ASP is flexible. With over 300
configuration options, this flexibility can be achieved with no programming
or HTML knowledge. VP-ASP can be used to sell anything.
VP-ASP is all inclusive and comes with a range of free add-ons that include
free interfaces to the most popular real time electronic payment gateways.
VP-ASP can integrate with an existing web site or can be used as your total
Internet application
VP-ASP is open source. This means you own the source code and, if you have
the know how, you are free to modify the software as you see fit.
That bring us to eStoreCart.com. That is precisely what we have done. We've
taken an incredible product and incorporated the necessary modifications to
make it the perfect eCommerce solution for
Hawai'i's Flower Shipper
industry or any web site directed at the gift giving market
especially those using Federal Express are their product shipper.
Those of us that ship our floral products, sold retail and wholesale, from
our company's web site know how unfriendly the free or even purchased off
the shelf shopping carts can be!
I've taken my 20+ years of experience in shipping flowers from Hawai'i and
my extensive experience in Federal Express order processing integration and
very carefully designed and implimented the eStoreCart.com enhancements
into the already feature rich VP-ASP shopping cart. These are some of the
features I was looking for in a shopping cart solution and am now excited
to share with you ...
- I wanted easy integration with a credit card merchant account. I had
an order form with SSL protection. After a little research I could hardly
call what I had a SECURE shopping system for my customers! You can't get a
system that is more secure than our eStoreCart eCommerce System.
- I wanted a shopping cart that would allow me to sell multiple items to
multiple recipients in one transaction and one credit card transaction. We
have it!
- Because floral gifts are most often time sensitive purchases (If you
can't get it there by Friday it's too late!), I wanted to be able to tell a
visiting web customer exactly when the earliest possible delivery date would
be based on Federal Express's Available Services for a given zip code and
our next shipping day. And we did it!
- In my flower business,
Proteas of Hawaii I include Federal Express Economy delivery in the
price of my items. It's been our personal choice in a business approach.
If a customer's desired delivery date requires us to expedite the shipping
process, by upgrading to a more expensive level of service, I wanted to
designate the charges for these upgraded services to each item purchased
and let the customer know what it would cost and charge appropriately for
the delivery upgrade.
Delivery Commitment Calendar
To give the customer accurate delivery information, of course, you need
two pieces of information ... when will the product be shipped and what is
the destination zip code. The customer will give us the delivery zip code,
and hopefully it is the correct zip code ... but how do you intelligently
inform your customer, with all the factors involved, when the next
shipping day will be?
Keep in mind that when dealing with a web based business the customer could
be any place, in any time zone in world. How can we let them know if there
is still time to get the product out today?
There are holidays Federal Express takes that are not valid pickup or
delivery days. They might fall on a day that would affect the pickup
and ultimately the delivery. You may not want to admit it but you might
even decide to take a day off now and then. Maybe close up the day after
Thanksgiving! Our system puts you in control!
What if your source of a certain product suddenly isn't available for a day
or maybe longer. I wanted to be able to block out certain products for
certain days. So if my orchid supplier says there won't be anything for me
for shipments this Friday ... no problem! Thursday evening a customer
requests Orchids and eStoreCart lets them know that our next shipping day
for this item is Monday! Everything else is still available. Friday goes
by and we're back to normal with all products back in stock!
With our shipping Administrator Management Interface built into the
VP-ASP administrator you can easily:
- Designate weekends as non-ship days
- Designate any date a holiday or non-ship day
- Set the cut-off time for todays shipping. Order after 9:00 AM (or
whatever time you set) ... Sorry we'll have to ship it tomorrow!
- Set the relationship of the time between where you ship from and where
your server resides so the cut-off time can be valid from anywhere in the
world.
- You can easily designate a product as temporarily unavailable for any
day or range of dates on the calendar.
We all know how complicated it is to explain to our customers the
Federal Express Delivery options available. When can you ship my purchase?
When will it arrive? Can I get it there sooner? How much will that cost?
Do you deliver on Saturday? I wanted an intuitive straight forward interface
that required minimal customer input to get the information they need to
make their delivery service level buying decision. You be the judge. Try it!

- I wanted to be able to verify that the delivery address given for the
gift recipient was a valid address. How often are you charged by FedEx,
the $10 fee because of an incorrect address provided by our customers.
- I also wanted to be able to verify that the address given for the
customer was a valid address. First of all the customer may be the gift
recipient and we all know how often they give a Post Office Box for
a delivery address. And secondly the customer's address is important for
credit card merchant AVS authorization. We're excited to have you test this
out too! Try it!

- Finally, I wanted my customers to have the ability to track their
shipments. Of course they can take the tracking number we send them and go
to www.fedex.com but I wanted my customers
to come back to my site for customer services. Here's our
Federal Express Tracking demo page that is included in the eStorecart.com
enhancements.
